My Boy’s Multi Patterns Tee

Posted on June 28, 2008 - Filed Under Knit, Tee

Here’s the progress of the tee I’m working on…

I’ve been pretty busy lately, so I only managed to complete the back of the tee and knitted 10 inches for the front part. I guess I can start knitting the armhole this weekend if I’m not out of yarns. I don’t have enough green yarn for this tee, so I might need to postpone this project until I buy the yarn from the shop in Ipoh later. I don’t think I can get it here in Bangkok.

Maybe I will skip to knitting the sleeves first? That should keep me occupied with this project for a while…

My Girl’s Top in Rich More Topping Sweet Yarn

Posted on June 9, 2008 - Filed Under Knit, Top

That’s my girl, and she’s easily recognized with her sun shiny smile. :) She’s wearing her new knit top in Rich More Topping Sweet Yarn and a plain white yarn from Plum Brand. She likes it a lot, and she looks cute pairing the top with a pair of pink tights.

Her brother didn’t wear any knit wear that day as his latest knit tee is still under progress…

Let’s see if I can finish by next month…

My Girl’s Cape in Zara Yarn

Posted on June 5, 2008 - Filed Under Crochet, Cape

Since we are staying in Bangkok soon, there’s a possibility of traveling to northern Thailand which is colder by the end of the year. I hope that we can make a trip to Chiang Mai and Nan (a place near Yunnan) this year, so I knitted a cape in Zara wool yarn for my little gal. For every 3 rows of the crochet pattern, I added a row of chain in Lily yarn. I have a lot of leftover yarns, so it’s best to make good use of them.

She doesn’t like it at first and refused to try it on. At that moment, I thought all my effort was wasted. But then, the lady from the knitting shop helped me to crochet these cute characters of Hello Kitty and Melody and they certainly beautify the cape. :)

Here’s the end result…

I think my girl will look really cute in it, if she’s willing to put it on!

My Flower Crochet Top is Almost Done

Posted on May 30, 2008 - Filed Under Crochet, Top

My flower crochet top looks weird during the “making process”, but after joining up all the individual flowers of 2 sizes, you can almost see the top now.

Sorry, stupid phone camera didn’t capture the color correctly. :P

The bottom of the top will have a wavy crochet pattern as shown in this diagram:

The crochet pattern for the lower part of the top

And again, sorry about the color. :P

Anyway, I’ve completed the top yesterday and sent it to the shop for washing and hiding the loose yarns.

95% completed 2 days ago…

So, stay tune for more update next week. :)

So, what do you think about it? I haven’t worn it yet, so let’s see what others think about it. :)

Project Progress: May 2008

Posted on May 23, 2008 - Filed Under Project Progress

I’ve been so busy lately, most of my knitting projects are not progressing as expected. Nonetheless, I’ve bought lots of yarns again which will be brought to Bangkok to fulfill my knitting hunger. LOL! Here are some of the projects I have in mind…

1. A Blue Knit Scarf For Me

You can refer to the previous post about this scarf. I left the project in Bangkok, so I can only resume it once we move there in 3 weeks.

2. A Top in Rich More Topping Sweet Yarn for My Gal

Yarn: Topping Sweet by Rich More and Plain White Yarn by Plum Brand
Knitting Needle: 3.00 mm

I’ve knitted 6 inches on the back of the top so far, and I will start the armhole after 2 more inches. I’m not sure if I can finish this in 2 weeks, but I will have to try.

3. A Flower Crochet Top for Me

Yarn: Double Lily Yarn in Fuchia

Crochet Needle: No. 2

Frankly, I was hesitating when I first started this project as there’s a lot of join knitting the flowers individually and joining them all together. Nonetheless, it’s time I try something like this instead of my usual crochet projects. Here’s my progress so far, and you really can’t see the shape of a top yet!

Don’t worry, it’s not going to be like this. LOL! Here’s the crochet pattern I’m working on:

Have a better idea now?

4. Knit Top for Me in Schachenmayr Nomatta Fiesta

Obviously, I haven’t done much for this project, but what I have in mind is knitting this top in Bangkok later. So, I guess I will put it aside until we settle down in our new home.

Yarn: Schachenmayr Nomatta Fiesta

Knitting Needle: 3.00mm

5. A Knit Tee for My Boy

I want to have something colorful for my boy, so I picked this knitting pattern.

Yarn: Schachenmayr Nomatta Fiesta

Knitting Needle: 3.00mm

I’ve only started the garter part of the tee:

And later on, I will start on the knitting pattern. However, I’m not following the colors exactly, but mix and match by myself.

6. A Hat For My Mother

I haven’t started anything on this hat yet, and I’m still wondering if I should start it now and get it done before I fly to Bangkok. I will ask my mom if it’s urgent first, if not, I will take my sweet time in crocheting one for her.

Yarn: Mixing Filatura Di Crosa Pasta and Victoria Cotton Yarn in Black

Crochet Needle: No. 4

Crochet Pattern:

So, I guess I am pretty busy huh?

A Blue Knit Scarf For Me

I only brought along 2 knitting project to Bangkok and this dark blue scarf by Lily Yarn is one of them. It’s pretty easy since there isn’t any knitting pattern except knit for all rows. How hard can that be? That’s why it’s too boring to me. :P

However, I will just knit it as usual and take my time on doing this scarf. I have knitted close to 3 inches and I need another 37 inches before completion.

So, let’s see how long will I take to complete this scarf.

Rich More Topping Sweet Yarn

Topping Sweet by Rich More

I saw these cute topping sweet yarns from Rich More and I know that I got to knit a nice top with the yarns for my gal. It will be an A line top which she can pair with a pair of tights. I couldn’t make up my mind which color to choose, so I brought them back to get my little gal’s opinion. Actually, what I have in mind was knitting the white topping mole yarn with a plain white yarn from Plum Brand but I wanted to make sure that my gal likes the color too.

It turned out that she preferred the purplish topping sweet yarn. After some thoughts, I decided to get her picks.

My gal chose the purple Topping Sweet instead of the white Topping Mole

I haven’t started knitting the top yet and it’s left back home in Ipoh. I will work on it once I fly back from Bangkok.

Hubby’s Vest in Zara Wool Yarn

Posted on April 25, 2008 - Filed Under Knit, Vest

This project was started for some time but it was “abandoned” for a while when I was busy knitting for my kids. But last month, I tried to make it my first priority and get it done ASAP. I told myself not to buy any new yarns unless I’ve completed the vest first. So here you are, it’s all done now.

24042008884.jpg

It fits hubby so well, but he said it’s too hot putting it on.

24042008878.jpg

Oh well, it’s knitted with double Zara wool yarn, so it is not suitable for our hot weather here. This vest is my hint to hubby that I need a winter vacation somewhere soon! How about Japan? LOL!

Anyway, I love the knitting pattern. The cables slowed me down, but I’m glad to see the end results.
