From Vest to Tee

After some consideration, and the practicability of a vest vs a baby tee, I’ve decided to knit a tee for Justin instead of the original vest with a hood.
Justin doesn’t like to wear anything with a hook now, especially if we are going out and he has to sit in a car seat. The hook maybe very uncomfortable for him when he is dozing off in the car. Without the hood, the vest will look plain with just buttons and a small Pooh design at the pocket. So, I decided to enlarge the Pooh Bear from just the head to the whole body.
The tee will only have short sleeves so that Justin can wear it more often. On top of that, I have to rush for it before next weekend because I would like him to wear this for the wedding dinner we are attending in KL or Ipoh. So, that means more sleepless nights for me as I can’t knit when the kids are around.
For the time being, I’ve only completed the back part as seen below…
I’m working on the sleeves now. But I know the front part won’t be easy as I need to refer to the diagram all the time and will really slow me down. So I hope I can make it this time.
BTW, anybody with knitting diagrams of Barney and his friends or not? My kids love them!
